You and your son are sure to find your time with Pack 25 a rewarding and fun experience in which to begin or continue your Scouting adventure.
We have an active Cub Scout program with weekly Den meetings, a Pack (Awards) meeting once every month and other experiences throughout the year. All Den and Pack meetings take place from 7-8pm at Church of the Holy Name on Conrow Road in Delran. Participation in Cub scouts does not represent a big time commitment. Den meetings are about an hour a week (3 weeks/month), and the monthly pack meeting is about 90 minutes. Each month at the Pack meeting the boys will be awarded any recognition due them from the previous 3 weeks. Pack and Den meetings run through May.
For the pack to be successful we will need your help. This is a real opportunity to become a big part of your son's life as he matures. You will literally watch him grow. There is plenty of opportunity to volunteer - from a once-a-year commitment, all the way to Den Leader to Pack administration. We have an experienced Pack Committee made up of a dedicated team of volunteers that make Scouting fun. We encourage parents to consider a role in which they can best use their talents and skills. And not to worry, there are plenty of training classes to help you along if you feel don't know what to do. Remember, all of the current adult leaders started out where you are - so just jump right up and ask the Cubmaster or another leader how you can help. And parents - don't tell the scouts - but sometimes we have more fun than the boys do.
How Much Does it Cost?
The cost to join the Pack is $55. The price includes a monthly subscription to Boy's Life magazine for a year, and all advancement badges/beltloops and ranks. Please bring a check made out to "Pack 25 BSA" to Scout Signup Night.
Additionally, you are asked to purchase a scout shirt ($22 new, used shirts are fine), council patch and numbering ($5), a neckerchief and slide ($7) and a cub scout hand book specific to the age/year your boy will be starting ($7)
All of these things are available at the Burlington County Council Scout Shop in Westhampton. Simply tell the store clerk you're with Pack 25 in Delran and your boy's age - they'll help you track down everything on the above list.
